Selective collaboration  ·  Design by Authenticity

Work with I·V·O.
Bring a system worth investigating.

I take on a limited number of collaborations where the I·V·O Lens can produce a genuinely different reading, instrument or intervention.

Not another strategy.
A better observation.

I come to your organisation when something keeps getting discussed, postponed or solved around. I don't start with the director. I start with the people at the base — the ones who feel the system most directly and are asked least often.

By the end of the day, I sit with the leadership team. No report. No PowerPoint. You get a clear verbal field read: what the current space makes possible, where friction builds, and which single shift would change the dynamic.

Best when

  • A team keeps solving symptoms instead of the actual pattern.
  • Leadership feels friction but cannot locate the intervention point.
  • You need a human, low-overhead read before adding another process.

Design with the lens.

I·V·O can be taught, but it becomes useful when it is applied to an actual system. Training and implementation therefore begin with the question, relations and observer positions already present.

For AI, the central question is not simply what can be automated. It is how AI changes selection, decision power, attention and possibility inside an existing human system.

Engagements range from a focused team session to a designed pilot or implementation trajectory.

03 State Logger · FOLDFIELD · Custom software

Use the instruments.

The State Logger, FOLDFIELD and the observatoria are not only demonstrations. They are experimental instruments for observing, logging and visualising change in dynamic systems.

They can form the starting point for research pilots, field studies, human–AI interaction, longitudinal reflection and adapted interfaces — without presenting experimental tools as established clinical products.

Custom I·V·O instruments

When an existing tool is not enough, an experimental interface, logger, visualisation or research instrument can be designed around the system being studied.

Collaborative I·V·O inquiry with researchers mapping a complex system together

Research together.

I collaborate where I·V·O can function as an analytical framework, experimental notation, observation protocol, visualisation architecture, human–AI interface or research instrument.

Relevant fields include systems science, HCI, AI, design research, organisational dynamics, complexity, perception and exploratory work around mental health.

Selective collaboration

Not every question needs I·V·O.

The work is strongest when the situation is genuinely systemic and there is room to investigate rather than confirm a predetermined answer. I am not looking to fill capacity; I select collaborations where a different reading can materially change what happens next.

The theory is open

The theoretical foundation of IVO — whitepaper, notation, ethics, safety principles — is freely available for reading, research and education under Creative Commons.

Commercial use of any kind requires a license. The open layer builds the ecosystem. The licensed layer sustains the work.
